Telemark offers some of Norway's most varied and beautiful motorcycle routes - from deep forests to dramatic mountain passes and idyllic fjord arms. Here you will find some of our favorites.
Gaustatoppen rundt
Length Approx. 170 km
Notodden-Tuddal-Rjukan-Gransherad-Notodden.
A classic for a motorcycle tour in Telemark. Start at Notodden and drive by Tuddal over the mountains to Rjukan. Enjoy the view towards Gaustatoppen, stop in Rjukan and return by Gransherad. A day trip with both curves, mountains and fjords.

Flåvann & Seljordsvannet
Length Approx. 120 km
Bø-Lunde-Kilen-Kviteseid-Seljord-Bø.
The road along Flåvann is perfect whether you are looking for active and technical driving, or just want a quiet Sunday ride. It is a winding road that winds along Flåvann with a fantastic view. Take a short break in Kviteseid and drive back by Seljord.

Dra til Helgeroa
Length Approx. 160 km
Akkerhaugen-Skien-Langangen-Helgeroa-Retur.
Drive to Skien by Valebøveien and head down to Helgeroa. In Helgeroa you have a good chance of meeting other motorcyclists and it is a great place for a snack. Don't forget to ride the "corkscrew" in Langangen on the way home!

Bø-Seljord-Flatdal-Notodden-Bø.
On this trip you might be lucky enough to see the Sea Serpent on its way up towards Seljord! It also offers a spectacular lookout point in Flatdal that you have probably seen pictures of already if you have followed us on social media for a while.

Gvarv-Herre-Europaveien-Drangedal-Lunde-Gvarv.
This is the road where you experience everything in one day! The Europaveien and Gamle Sørlandske are nothing short of fantastic! On this trip we recommend that you set aside some extra time and perhaps enjoy a dinner in Kragerø.

This tour offers first and foremost fantastic scenery with nice turns and deep forests. It is also a popular route for motorcyclists, so you often meet like-minded people. We would also recommend stopping by Dalen Hotel.

Our recommended routes start in Midt-Telemark, where we are located. This means you avoid unnecessary transport stops – the trip starts right away! We at Telemark MC Utleie often drive these routes ourselves, and know the roads well. We are happy to help you plan trips or make recommendations.
