These terms and conditions apply to the rental of motorcycles and additional equipment from Telemark MC Utleie / OMLIDS MC-UTLEIE, org. no.: 934 828 275, address: Liagrendvegen 65, 3812 Akkerhaugen, email: post@telemarkmcutleie.no , phone: +47 98 12 77 25.
1. Booking and payment • Bookings are made at telemarkmcutleie.no and confirmed by email. • We use Vipps Checkout for Vipps and card payments. • Security deposit: NOK 5,000 is paid upon pickup (Vipps or cash). The deposit is held as security for deductible, damage, missing fuel/equipment, late return, etc. Any deductions will be documented. The security deposit is not an upper limit of liability. In case of damage, the renter may be charged a deductible of up to NOK 15,000 per incident, even if this exceeds the paid deposit. • All prices are in NOK including VAT (unless otherwise stated).
2. Cancellation, changes and right of withdrawal • Rental of vehicles for a specific period of time is considered a leisure activity/transport service and is exempt from the right of withdrawal under Section 22 (m) of the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act. • Cancellation: – ≥ 30 days before pickup: full refund. – 7–29 days before pickup: 50% refund. – < 7 days before pickup: no refund. • Changes of date/time are possible subject to availability. Prices may be adjusted according to current rates.
3. Driver requirements Minimum age: 18 years. Valid license categories: A2 for Honda NX500, A for Honda CB750. The driver must be sober and comply with the law. Violation results in immediate termination without refund.
4. Pickup and delivery • Pickup and return take place at Liagrendvegen 65 at the agreed times. • Late return: NOK 200 per commenced hour. If delayed more than 3 hours, a full daily rate may be charged. • The motorcycle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup. • Missing fuel: NOK 500. • Excessive dirt: cleaning fee NOK 500.
5. Use of the vehicle Mileage: 500 km per day included, thereafter NOK 4/km. Track use, racing, off-road or illegal driving is prohibited. Smoking and open flames near the vehicle are prohibited. Only the registered renter may drive the vehicle (additional drivers must be pre-approved).
6. Damage, theft and deductible • The renter is responsible for the vehicle from pickup until return. • Damage/theft must be reported to us immediately. • The renter covers a deductible of up to NOK 15,000 per damage incident. Gross negligence, driving under the influence, or breach of the terms may result in full liability. • Traffic fines/fees/charges incurred during the rental period are charged to the renter.
7. Equipment Free rental of phone holder, top box, luggage and riding gear is offered subject to availability. Equipment not returned or damaged will be charged against the deposit.
8. Prices • The daily rate is calculated based on the selected rental period in the shopping cart. Guide prices for Honda NX500 (A2): • 1–2 days: NOK 1,500/day • 3–6 days: NOK 1,300/day • 7+ days: NOK 1,100/day • Honda CB750: • 1–2 days: NOK 1,700/day • 3–6 days: NOK 1,500/day • 7+ days: NOK 1,300/day • We reserve the right to change prices before a booking is completed.
9. Safety and maintenance Vehicles are delivered in roadworthy condition. The renter must perform a simple check (brakes, lights, tires) before departure and report any faults. Breakdown/emergency fault: call +47 98 12 77 25. We will assist as far as possible; replacement vehicles cannot be guaranteed.
10. Privacy and payment • We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Vipps’ terms. • Payments are handled by Vipps/the payment processor, and card data is not stored by us.
11. If full payment is not completed at the time of booking, motorcycles can be reserved by paying a reservation deposit of 15% of the total rental amount. The reservation is only binding once the deposit has been received. The reservation deposit is normally non-refundable in case of cancellation. When the rental is completed, the amount is deducted from the total price.
12. Complaints and disputes • Contact us at post@telemarkmcutleie.no and we will work to find a solution. • Complaints may also be submitted to the Norwegian Consumer Authority / Consumer Council. • Norwegian law applies.
